What is
Nutrition

By definition, Nutrition is the process of how humans gain and digest food in order to fuel their bodies. Nutrition is essential to life, from the gut, to the brain, to energy levels and muscle repair and growth.

At The Local Osteo we define Nutrition, as the process of which YOU choose to fuel your body for your select activities and lifestyle. We deep dive into your current diet including when you eat, how much you drink, what you are doing that day, not just what you are eating and how much of it. We will explore the essential components of your balanced diet, giving tips and tricks to enhance your well-being and help you make informed choices regarding your diet.

What to
expect

Prior to Consult

As soon as you book your consult, you will be asked to fill out a form regarding eating habits over the course of a week including drinking habits and basics of activity that day.

This will allow us to get a grasp of what you are starting with and get the ball rolling on ideas of what to tweak in your diet.

At the Consult

In the consult, it will be a conversation to go over your provided 'diet diary' and see what is going well and where some areas of improvement are. Following this you will go home with some changes to give a go and see how they help, and some useful tactics to try and help you stay on track

Follow-Up Treatments

After 6-8 weeks, you will have a follow-up treatment, to discuss how the changes went and if any of the tips and tricks helped you and what didn't quite work as well as hoped. Then we will discuss a few more changes that could help and some different tips for sticking to the new goals or to reafirm the original ones

F.A.Q.s

Do I need to bring anything?

Simply bring yourself and your diet diary printed (but can be emailed) as accurately as possible

How precise does the diet diary need to be?

Simply just what you are eating with rough proportions, no need for the exact weight of each item and also rough water and drink intake.
